Meritorious Artist Trịnh Tùng Linh
Director of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra
Meritorious Artist Trịnh Tùng Linh was born in 1969 in a family with a musical tradition. He learned Clarinet under the guidance of his father, who was also a clarinet player and conductor.
In 1982, he entered the Vietnam School of Music (Vietnam National Academy of Music now) under the tutelage of Mr. Nguyễn Lâm and Mr. Vũ Đình Thạch.
After graduating from University with a major in Clarinet performance, in 1995 he joined the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra as a clarinetist. During this time, he was sent to practice in Norway, Japan… and participated in many performances with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra as a lead, soloist in many big shows in the country and in many others such as the US, Japan, Russia, Italy, China, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia...
In 2019, he was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist by the State.
He has been the Director of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra since October 2021
